Enserv’s management team was an assemblage of highly qualified, knowledgeable senior executives, who collectively have over 150 years of successful management experience in the healthcare, environmental, financial and waste services industries. Enserv completed its platform acquisition of Medical Waste Services of America, LLC in August 2004, with plans to execute a consolidation strategy in the highly fragmented medical waste industry. In September 2005, Enserv merged with Houston, Texas based Med-Shred, Inc. (“Med-Shred”) to create MedServe, Inc. (“MedServe”). Med-Shred developed an on-site disposal process which essentially renders waste into sterilized confetti, while Enserv services follow the BFI-Stericycle model of using a central processing facility.
