Main Street Donates to Ronald McDonald House inside Children’s Memorial Herman Hospital
In April 2020, Main Street donated to the Ronald McDonald House Houston in support of the house inside Children’s Memorial Herman Hospital. For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Houston (rmhhouston.org) has been helping families with seriously ill children stay close together during these difficult times, by providing a “home away from home” while their child receives the treatment they need. The house inside Children’s Memorial Herman Hospital (rmhhouston.org/childrens-memorial-hermann-house/) is one of the four houses Ronald McDonald House has in Houston. This home is dedicated to serving the families with seriously ill children who are being treated in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the hospital’s cafeteria was temporarily closed in March 2020 alongside the restaurants in the hospital’s immediate surrounding area. In response to this critical need, Main Street was pleased to donate delivered meals to the families. Main Street was able to provide two meals during the week of April 20th to the 20 family members staying in the Ronald McDonald House onsite at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital.
