Main Street Named to Inc.’s 2023 List of Founder-Friendly Investors

Main Street Capital Corporation (“Main Street”), a leading provider of capital solutions to founder and entrepreneur owned lower middle-market companies, is proud to announce its inclusion on Inc.'s prestigious 2023 Founder-Friendly Investors list as both a private equity investor and debt capital investor. This recognition underscores Main Street's commitment to supporting and fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, growth and value creation at Main Street’s portfolio companies.

Inc. announced its annual Founder-Friendly Investors list, which honors private equity, venture capital, and debt firms with a proven track record of supporting entrepreneurs. This list recognizes organizations that remain actively involved with the businesses they invest in, and that have earned the trust of the entrepreneurs they support, to help drive growth.

Main Street's inclusion on this list acknowledges the company's dedication to providing financial solutions, partnership, strategic guidance, and resources to lower-middle market businesses, enabling them to thrive in today's competitive business landscape. Main Street’s inclusion as a provider of both private equity and debt capital solutions highlights the unique flexibility Main Street can provide to its portfolio companies.

"Being named to Inc.'s 2023 Founder-Friendly Investors list is a great testament to and validation of our ongoing commitment to supporting visionary entrepreneurs and helping them realize their full potential," said Dwayne Hyzak, CEO of Main Street. Mr. Hyzak continued, "We take pride in our collaborative approach, focusing on long-term partnerships with the existing owners and management teams of the companies that we invest in to drive innovation and success."

To compile the list, Inc. went straight to the source: entrepreneurs who have sold to private equity and venture capital firms. Founders filled out a questionnaire about their experiences partnering with private equity, venture capital, and debt firms and shared data on how their portfolio companies have grown during these partnerships.
