Lauren Engineers & Constructors (Lauren) is a “design and build” engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm. Lauren provides engineering and construction services primarily to the electric power generation, petroleum refining and petrochemical markets. Lauren’s clients were typically large industrial plant operators or developers whose requirements range from conceptual design for their industrial facility to complete industrial EPC projects. In July 2002, Lauren acquired Kamtech, Inc. (Kamtech), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ahlstrom Holdings, Inc., the United States subsidiary of A. Ahlstrom Corporation, a privately-held Finnish paper and engineering group. Kamtech provided construction management services to the pulp and paper industry, in addition to serving the gas-fired power generation, materials handling, environmental and chemical process industries.
