Main Street Capital Announces Realized Capital Gain of Approximately $0.07 Per Share

HOUSTON, March 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Main Street Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: MAIN) ("Main Street") announced today that it has realized a capital gain of approximately $0.07 per share as a result of fully exiting its warrant position in KBK Industries, LLC ("KBK"). KBK is a leading manufacturer of fiberglass tanks and related products primarily utilized in the oilfield and agricultural end markets. Main Street currently estimates that $0.07, or approximately 20%, of its first quarter dividend distribution of $0.34 per share that was paid on March 21, 2008 to stockholders of record on February 15, 2008, will be treated as long-term capital gain for tax purposes based upon this transaction.
