Main Street Capital Receives Exemptive Order From the Securities and Exchange Commission

HOUSTON, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Main Street Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: MAIN) ("Main Street") today announced that Main Street and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Main Street Mezzanine Fund, LP ("MSMF"), received an exemptive order from the Securities and Exchange Commission to exclude debt securities issued by MSMF from the asset coverage requirements of the Investment Company Act of 1940 as applicable to Main Street. The exemptive order provides for the exclusion of all debt securities issued by MSMF, including $55 million of outstanding debt related to the participation by MSMF in the Small Business Investment Company program. This exemptive order provides Main Street with expanded capacity and flexibility in obtaining future sources of capital for its investment and operational objectives.
